Fabien Barral

Of all the graphic designers I track, french designer Fabien Barral is the one who continually thrills me. His work could be beautiful framed as art, but there’s a ton of functional utility in it too. Fun fact: he printed some things with Studio On Fire which is a letterpress shop in St. Paul started by a CVA grad!

Jason de Caires Taylor

Check out Jason de Caires Taylor. He makes all life size sculptures of people and puts them underwater. There are even some riding bikes or sitting at a desk. Over time they start to produce coral on them. This creates an artificial reef that can support an entire marine ecosystem. It also takes pressure off of natural reefs so they can repair and regenerate. Plus! It's insanely beautiful and awesome. I'm obsessed.
